Hey guys! Happy February!! Today I completed my first week of Brazil Butt Lift! So far, I am loving this program! It is a fantastic break from the craziness of Insanity, and I'm having fun while working out! Here are my reviews of the classes:
Bum Bum: [35 min.] This workout is all about working your lower body! Cardio moves that have you moving, sweating, and working your abs too!
Tummy Tuck: [20 min.] This ab workout is intense! I love being sore the next day from it!
Cardio Axe: [30 min.] This workout is fun! It's non-stop dance moves that have you using your core, arms, bum... all while having some fun!
High & Tight: [35 min.] This workout hurrrrrrtttsss!!! haha my bumbum is super sore during this workout... you will use muscles that you never knew you had! lol... it is broken down into 3 sections, standing work with a resistance band, floor work with a resistance band, and floor work with ankle weights... it's a really great burn!
Sculpt: [50 min.] This is a great full-body workout. You're using weights, I used 8lbs and will use 10lb during some moves next week. You only do this once your first week, but 3 times the 2nd and 3rd weeks!
The only con is getting used to the lower calorie burns... I have to remember I'm not doing this to lose weight but rather to tone up my lower body! Also, it is a little rough to fit in because they schedule 2 workouts a day so your workout can range from 50 minutes to 85 minutes so I might wind up doing 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon... but i'm excited to check out my 30-day and 60-day results!

In other awesome news, I got accepted to Manchester University College of Pharmacy!!! They only accept 70 students per class so I'm really proud of myself and SO excited to start the Doctor of Pharmacy program!!! I haven't heard from the other school I applied to yet... they send out interview invites within the first week or two of February.
So, I can't believe February is here already!! What are some of your goals? I'm keeping up with the monthly challenges. This month I'm just doing a squat one since things are getting a little hectic with school, so squats are easy to fit in! Here are some February challenges I have found...I've been posing them on my Facebook page as I come across them... it's not too late to start one!!
I now have 170 likes on my Facebook page and 163 followers on Instagram!!! This brings me SO much happiness you have no idea!! Thank you SO much for the continued support!!!
I hope everyone is having a fantastic start to their year and is keeping up on their workouts and healthy eating! Tomorrow is Superbowl Sunday so I will be splurging a bit ;)

On that note... I'd like to go off on a little rant =P I see so many people on MyFitnessPal falling into the restaurant traps of "Under 500 Calories" menus... while i'm all for planning before going out to restaurants, it's also important to not only look at calories. You're better off creating your own meal of some grilled chicken, a plain baked or sweet potato and lots of veggies (if that stuff is on the menu), than giving in to their "healthy" options. The sodium is out. of. control!! Also, be sure to drink tons of water if you're planning on a night out at a restaurant, pass on that soda! Here is a snapshot of the "Weight Watchers and Unbelievably Great Tasting & Under 550 Calories" menu from Applebees (keep in mind the daily recommended sodium intake is 2,300 mg):
Also, if you wind up being pretty bloated the next day from sodium intake, be sure to drink tons of water and some hot tea with lemon throughout the day! It does wonders!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend and is remembering that one bad meal won't ruin all of your hard work!
