There are soooo many different snacks to choose from... as you can see from my Snacks page! Here is just a small list of some staples in my apartment.
- Whole, natural almonds
- Hummus & pita chips (or veggies)
- Light string cheese
- Low fat cottage cheese (I like to add a tbsp. of peanut butter or strawberry preserves!)
- Fat-free Greek yogurt (to either add honey, berries, or dip veggies in! my ultimate favorite is some strawberry preserves with dark chocolate chips on top!)
- Fat-free, sugar-free puddings and jell-o's (I tend to stay away from these because of the artificial sugar, but sometimes it really cures a sweet tooth)
- Apples (to dip in Greek yogurt or peanut butter or slice up, top with cinnamon and PB, throw in the microwave for 30-40 seconds)
- Veggie Stix (I LOVE THESE!! Made by Good Health.)
- Quaker Chocolate Mini Rice Cakes (another treat for the sweet tooth!)
- Protein shake (If you have a protein powder that ranges from 150-250 calories, It's acceptable as a midday snack/meal)
- QUEST BARS!!! (my ultimate favorite - especially cinnamon roll and banana nut muffin)
