Breakfast Pantry & Fridge Staples
Here is my list of things I like to keep on hand, pretty much at all times, to make a quick & healthy breakfast! This is merely a suggestion! Breakfast is SO important! It's what starts revving your metabolism for the day so be sure to never skip it!! =)
- Low-fat cottage cheese
- Fat-free Greek yogurt (I <3 Fage!)
- Eggs (preferably cage-free, grain-fed but whatever you can afford! I also like to have some liquid egg whites on hand!)
- Skim milk, coconut milk, or almond milk (my favorite is Blue Diamond's Vanilla Almond Coconut Milk Blend!)
- Turkey bacon (look for nitrate-free)
- Whole wheat bread (I'm currently using Healthy Life 35-calorie bread. Ezekiel's cinnamon raisin is delicious too!)
- Multigrain oatmeal or Steel cut oats
- Milled flax seed (I love Bob's Red Mill brand, but there are cheaper brands like Hodgson Mill.)
- Frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, or mixed)
- Bananas
- Apples
- Tomatoes, onions & peppers (If you really enjoy omelets. You can also buy a pepper & onion frozen mix and add tomatoes.)
- Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry protein powder (Do research online for ones that you can get at a decent price that last 2-4 weeks! Optimum Nutrition Natural Whey is a great choice!)
- Olive oil cooking spray
- Honey (raw & unfiltered)
- Stevia packets
- Cinnamon
- Green tea (I <3 Celestial Seasonings Green Tea w/White!)
