Hey Guys!! Seriously, where did this year go?! I can't believe it is December already! With a new month comes new goals and a chance to accomplish something! I wanted to share some of my goals with you! I decided to stray away from any goals with #'s because these last few pounds just don't want to leave and instead of frustrating myself more by not hitting my goal weight, I'm going to concentrate on sticking with Insanity (I'll be finished January 20th!) and taking measurements. Here are some other goals:
- To cut back on processed sugar. [This is a HUGE one for me because I am a girl that LOVES her sweets! I crave desserts like no other!] However, this is something I have wanted to work on for a long time... so my goal is at least 3 days a week, I will skip on dessert and have some delicious dessert tea that I bought!
In other news: I started a Facebook page! Click here to check it out! I have 61 "likes" already! I'm so excited to have such amazing support from people! I'm really so thankful for all of the amazing people I have met throughout the year on MyFitnessPal and through Facebook fitness pages. They keep me motivated and give such great tips! I've logged in for 334 days on MFP so far and I've been dedicated since day 1! I've been through TurboFire, Chalean Extreme, and now i'm doing Insanity! After Insanity I'm going to do the 4-week Chalean Extreme Lean for Life plan. Future programs I'd like to try are: Les Mills Pump, Insanity: The Asylum 1 & 2, Les Mills Combat and Brazil Butt Lift. This isn't just a phase... or something I plan on doing until I hit a certain goal... this is my lifestyle! ... and I'm so excited to keep pushing myself and improving! So please don't put off your goals until the New Year! SO many people make these wonderful goals and don't stick to them. Make small goals that are attainable. For example, if you drink soda, cut it down to 1 or 2 a week; If you drink whole milk or 2%, switch to skim; work out 20 minutes a day [and don't tell me you have no time!]. However, one goal that I wish for on everyone's list is to drink more water!!! It's SO important and so many people do not drink enough! I've been part of a Facebook challenge to drink a gallon of water a day. That sounds like a lot but my water bottle is 4 cups, so I just fill it up 4 times a day, though I usually drink a little more than that. I don't want to sound pushy, I just want people to gain control of their health! We have a full 31 days to make a difference! 24 days to cut back a few pounds before Christmas! Find little things to motivate you. My ultimate goal is to be in a bikini for the first time next summer, and I'm glad I started this fitness journey in January because it's not easy! I've lost 30 pounds in a year and I have not reached my goal yet, so start now! Weight loss doesn't happen overnight... [though wouldn't that be fantastic if it did?? ;) ] | I purchased this tea at Target (which seems to be the only place in my area that sells it). I tried the Sugar Cookie one and it was delicious! I was really surprised at how tasty it was! So these teas are going to serve as my "dessert" on several nights to help curb my sugar intake.
