Hey guys! Halloween is only 3 days away! How are you keeping your candy intake in check? I know that's a huge weakness for me so I just speed around the supermarket trying to avoid the mounds of candy everywhere.
I have completed 10 weeks of ChaLean Extreme so far! It's crazy how fast time flies when you're doing an exercise program. Two more weeks to go and then I'll post my 90 day results!
I changed up the layout on my Food & Fitness Tips page to keep most of the workouts in the left column and food info in the right column. I added some great food tips today. Who does their meal planning on Sundays? If you're super busy during the week, taking Sunday as your meal prep day can really save you time and calories! I posted a great article from FitnessMagazine on 5 quick diet-friendly dinners based on a shopping list they provide! (Check it out!) I like to keep a calendar in the kitchen and I write my planned meals each day for the week so I don't have to put much thought into what we're going to eat every night. Planning is SO important when it comes to a healthy lifestyle... otherwise you'll find yourself being too tired to think up a meal and wind up ordering some pizza or Chinese food and fall right back into your weight-gaining trap.
The same goes for your workouts! If you know you're busy in the afternoons and evenings, make it a point to wake up early and get your workout in! We all know "I'll try to workout later" = it's not going to happen. No more excuses! Two days a week I have to wake up at 5:30 am just to get my workout in before classes because I know after a day of studying and classes, I will not want to workout. I get it over-with in the morning and have my energy for the rest of the day! Plus, who wouldn't want to rev up their metabolism for the day?!
My latest fantastic find is the 2:1:1 Recovery from Optimum Nutrition. I've been using the Raspberry Rush, and it's delicious! I take it immediately after my workouts and for the first time in this exercise program, my muscle soreness has been bearable! The servings range according to your body weight, but for me it's just 1 scoop and the tub holds 30 servings! It's a great purchase!
I hope everyone is able to keep their cravings in check this week! Have a happy and safe holiday!!
